Physics 401 - Advanced Laboratory I
Course Description and Objectives
Certain classic experiments in physics were seminal in the development of our modern understanding of the fundamental properties of nature. Topics include: measuring e/m, e, h, c, G, and R.
The primary objective of this course is for you to radically experience reality through reproduction of classic experiments which have provide direct measurement of fundamental physical quantities.
This course is a laboratory course with an historical angle. You will plan experiments, use instruments, analyze data (including errors), compare experiment with theory, and keep complete and detailed records in a lab notebook.

Prerequisite: PHYS 323 and permission of instructor
